CALLERS TAKE NOTE We're not interested in windows We're not interested in doors We don't want to discuss politics religion or wars We don't want to buy and have nothing to sell If you're still at the door you're doing quite well We only receive friends with a smiling face . . . This is our home and it’s a happy - but very private place. So now that's all clear Please don't feel blue Please don't call us If we need you then Trust us we'll call you . . . . . . . . . . Poem by Robert Bowker 2004 NOTE I wrote this on a jet returning back from America, my family & I had been on holiday/vacation in Orlando Florida. On return we were due to move to a new house in an affluent area of Tamworth – Comberford Road. We were all very excited apart from I had this nagging feeling in the back of my mind that we would be inundated with double glazing sales people. Builders ofering to tarmac the drive. Jehovah Witnesses wanting to talk about god – And I was right. So as I was sat on this jet half way over the atlantic I wrote this, and it has served us well. The amount of times people have come down the path & was just about to knock when they had read the poem which is on the door and simply turned heal I have lost count. People love it too I amalways being asked for a copy. By the way fel free to copy it for your door. All I ask is that at the bottom for copyright purposes you put – Poem by Robert Bowker 2004.
